Next Saturday 6 December you can visit a giant pastel-hued teddy bear in Miami. This 5-foot bear is actually a time capsule from Japanese pop artist -and 6%DOKIDOKI founder- Sebastian Masuda. You can bring a kawaii item (small, cute, colorful) or handwritten note along, to put inside the capsule.

On Sunday 7 December Sebastian Masuda and kawaii model Yuka, will be at the Young At Art museum. Yuka will do a 10 minutes live performance (at 1 pm, 2 pm & 3 pm) in Sebastian’s exhibition called “Colorful Rebellion — Seventh Nightmare”. It’s a colorful experience of plastic toys, stuffed animals, ribbons, fake fur and other fabrics surrounding an empty bed. You can visit this exhibition at the YAA museum until January 5 2015.

Keep an eye on Sebastian’s Facebook to find out when a gigantic bear capsule will arrive in Amsterdam, Beijing, Berlin, Kyoto, London, Los Angeles, New York, Paris and Tokyo. At the end of 2015 all 10 bears will be brought to New York City, where Masuda will create an all-inclusive sculpture. Eventually this sculpture will travel to Tokyo and be put on display during the 2020 Olympic Games.

Imagine where you or your kawaii object will be in 6 years time (^_^).
