Halloween has only been celebrated in Japan for the last 6 years. The American Holiday found it’s way to Japan through a “Disney Happy Halloween” in Disneyland Tokyo. Japan gave their own kawaii twist to the scary event and companies started to share Halloween crafts online. I’ve dug up some DIY projects up for you, which would be perfect for a creepy cute party! :ghost:
Invitations
Firstly you could craft some kawaii invitations for your party. The ghost card above is a little more complicated to make, but Canon also provides a more simple black cat card.
This cute halloween letter paper is a collaboration between Yahoo and Sanrio. Download the PDF by pressing the red button.
Masks
I suspect these kawaii masks are intended for children, but you could either enlarge them or tape a wood skewer to the back and remove the grey parts. This way you can hold the mask in front of your face.
Click on the orange button with squirrel to download the mask of your choice.
Decorations
Spice up your party with some scary food and drink decorations. I love the witch hat and those straw decorations! Scroll down on the Housefoods website to find the patterns.
If you’ve got some time on your hands, you could impress guests by crafting this jack-o’-lantern paper mobile.
Easily transform your place into a bat cave with Canon’s cute ghost and bat printables.
Food
What’s a party without food, right? Don’t worry, I’ll post some cute halloween treats and sushi ideas later this month. For now I hope you’ll have fun with the printables!
