The first Kawaii in Manila was held last year, as a kawaii lifestyle workshop filled with a variety of activities. Following the success of the workshop, the Kawaii PH team decided to take this experience to a new level by staging the first ever Kawaii convention on September 6: Kawaii in Manila 2.
Kawaii in Manila 2 is a day-long convention dedicated to promoting the kawaii culture through various kawaii-ยญrelated programs and activities. Kawaii in Manila 2 aims to unite people who share a common interest in Japanese culture, animation, fashion and everything in between. You can expect art exhibits, contests, fashion shows, kawaii bazaar, live music and more.
Enter the Kawaii Bazaar for booths with unique kawaii items such as clothes, jewelry and keychains. Or make your own items at the polymer clay and lettering DIY workshops.
At the Kawaii Art Exhibit, which is organized by Little Miss Paintbrush, you can see the work of talented illustrators from all over the world.
If you’re interested in fashion you might enjoy the kawaii and harajuku fashion shows by designers such as DollyKaye, Forestale, La Princesse Doll and Candy Kawaii Love. Or snap pictures at the Candy Kawaii Lover x Fujifilm Instax Purikura-inspired photobooth. There’s also a Kawaii Girl and Ikemen Guy contest, where the winner will receive sponsor prizes, a special photoshoot session and become one of the Kawaii.PH ambassadors.
There will be a Rainbowholic Cafe pop-up Booth to quench your thirst and to grab some sweet Agnessi cookies ๐
You can attend Kawaii in Manila on September 6 2014 at Whitespace Manila, Makati. Tickets are available at the official website and you can also find more information on the Facebook page.
